French Antique Part Glazed Terracotta Tian Bowl

Large French antique tian or confit bowl.

This is a beautiful antique part glazed French bowl. The glaze is a lovely rustic warm terracotta bowl.

These bowls are in great demand but increasingly difficult to find. These part glazed pottery bowls were made in the 1800s and early 1900s. The bowls were traditionally used in France to prepare a confit before storing for preserving in glazed confit pots.

It is perfect for display in most rooms in the home.

This bowl is in very good condition for its age, no major damage, some loss to the glaze inside the bowl and a small chip to the rim.
