Antique French Country black and white Pitcher made by U&C Sarreguemines in the 1800s

Well over 100 years old. this beautiful, antique French washing set was produced by the faiencerie (pottery) Sarreguemines. It dates from the late 1800s and there is makers stamp on the bottom with the name of the pattern "Parisia" in French.

The beautiful vibrant royal blue transferware pattern is a pretty against a white background. I love the unusual detail of the pattern including the depiction of a French mademoiselle.

This pitcher and large bowl were made for using in the bathroom or bedroom washstand, however since the introduction of modern plumbing they now look beautiful, creating a French décor feel, suitable for many rooms in the house - stunning with some flowers on the kitchen table, a sunny windowsill or in the bathroom or bedroom.

Both the bowl and jug are in good condition. There is some minor expected age related wear, and a small chip and repair to the edge of the bowl.- see photos

I know I shouldn't have favorites, but this one is definitely my favorite jug and bowl set ever!

Jug height 28 cm, width 20 cm, or approx 11", 8"

Bowl height width 34 cm or approx 13.5"
